Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! What a wonderful time. Everyone is thinking about New Year Resolutions and all of the things they want to do for 2010. What most people forget is the energy and intention of what the do on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, really sets the tone for the year. Think about it. Intention. If you just wing the next 2 days, what type of energy are you putting into motion for 2010?

If you intend to do certain things for certain reasons, just the fact that you are putting those intentions out into the universe is creating the energy of the desires that you have inside. When you intend to do things, you intentionally or sometimes unintentionally create what you desire. When you wing it, you have less chance of creating what you truly want and more of a chance of creating something because it was there when you were winging it and not really desiring it.

So, be mindful of what you would like to create. Create the intentions of what you truly desire. Plant those seeds and nurture them. Have faith that you can grow those seeds. Keep intending and creating. New beginnings are always around the corner. We always have a chance at new beginnings.

Feng Shui is all about energy. Create the best energetic presence for yourself. Space Clear. De-clutter. Create a new dream board. Make a list of new affirmations. Be true to yourself!

So go and create the best 2010 that you possibly can and remember you deserve it!

Stress & the Holidays

HI! Just wanted to give you a tip on how to relax and have fun during the holidays... You ready to hear it? It is so simple. Remember to Stay Present. So what does that mean? Stop worrying about everything that you have to do or want to do. Make a list of everything you are hoping to accomplish by certain dates. Worrying or Stressing actually slows your ability down to be able to achieve your goals or tasks. Stay Present. Take several deep breaths every time you start to hyperventilate or get anxious about your to do list. Give yourself permission to do a few tasks every day and reward yourself for completing a task. Remember take a deep breath, remember what day it is and what it looks like outside. Take in the sunshine, the brisk fresh air and even the rain or snow. Treasure your moments and you will start accomplishing more than you thought you could! Staying Present in the Moment, really works. Most of all, don't forget to enjoy the Moment and all the Moments you have with yourself and others this holiday season.

What is the Bagua?

The Bagua Map, originates from the I Ching and has eight trigrams, or “special areas of life.” We use the Bagua as a tool to locate these special areas and enhance them.  First draw a floor plan of your home. Garages, decks and porches that are physically attached to your home and are more than 5 inches off the ground are included in that drawing. Stand at the front of your door looking into the house. Hold the Bagua with the Career section towards your stomach and the red Fame & Reputation towards the room. This is the direction you overlay the Bagua on your floor plan of your house. Our houses are not perfect squares or rectangles. So one might have to stretch the Bagua to fit their home. This is completely normal. In some cases a deck might bump out the back of the house and therefore the Bagua gets bumped out and you might have part of the Bagua energy missing and need to anchor the missing part in your landscape. Feng Shui has lots of metaphors and symbols so don't get stuck on why to do something in the beginning. Once you experience the process you will start to understand. Remember everything is made of energy. Therefore we connect the dots this way. Now that you have the Bagua on your floor plan now what? Let’s look at, the far left corner of the Bagua this is your Wealth and Prosperity area. We can enhance this area to help bring in more abundance. Place something in that corner that makes you feel wealthy; an expensive piece of art, a coin collection, or a water fountain. Water represents wealth in Feng Shui. Our body is made up mainly of water, without water we can’t survive therefore water is looked at highly in Feng Shui. We look at each square and how it reflects in our home and balance it. Play with it. Have fun!

Feng Shui Tip of the Month

Invite abundant and enriching chi(energy) into your space by making sure all entrances into your home or office are clutter free and safe. Look out for hazards such as hoses across sidewalks or extension cords running across a room, and make sure all pathways are clear and easy to see at night. Inviting nurturing energy is a great beginning to creating your own personal Feng Shui home/office sanctuary.

Mercury is in Retrograde

Mercury is the planet of communication and it started retrograde on September 7th, 2009. Mercury will go direct on September 29th. A great website to check out is http://www.alphalifetrends.com/mercuryretrograde.html .

So why am I telling you this? Well, Feng Shui is not just about moving furniture around... It is about energy and your surroundings, whether that is furniture, a car, trees, a beach, a mountain, your health, your inner thoughts and so on. When Mercury is in retrograde it is a time for introspection, learning and can also be a challenging time. As with all things, the more open you are to learn the less challenging one will find it.

What are you going to be learning? This particular cycle involves learning about relationships and accountability. Situations will come up in your life during this time frame regarding relationships and accountability and this is your chance to finish with those lessons, by being conscious of your decisions and thoughts. Your actions will determine whether or not you keep repeating certain relationship and accountability patterns.

Since Mercury is a planet of communication how does that affect us here on earth?(besides the lessons one will learn or continue to struggle with) Well, you may have noticed some changes in the last 10 days, with things such as more car accidents on the road, phones going in and out, communication misunderstandings, cars breaking down, all types of communication can be affected by a Mercury in retrograde. Check out the above web link to learn more. Drink lots of water to stay grounded and keep your energy balanced during this time. Meditate to help understand the different situations that come to you during this retrograde.

Full Moon- August 6th, 2009

There is a full moon on August 6th, 2009. This is a great day to space clear your home, office and your car! Remove old stagnant energy and bring in the new! Remove not only old energy, but old thoughts, old patterns, old habits, pain, illness and more. Make a list of all of the things you do not want in your life anymore. Release them by burning them and don't give them another thought. (Do this safely!) Make a new list of everything you do want, in present tense and make a commitment to read these new affirmations daily. It is time to start creating the new you, the you that you want to be and time to remember who you really are. Sometimes we can get stuck on the hamster wheel of life, I am guilty of this just as any other human being. Recognizing the need to get off that wheel and back on track is the best thing to reclaiming the true you and continuing on your life journey!

Power Washing- Get rid of the old residue!

Here is a great Feng Shui tip to start your week off! Power wash that deck, those outdoor chairs, the patio, the pathway to your front door, your siding! What does this have to do with Feng Shui? Feng Shui is all about balancing your energy in a space, the physical energy of furniture, your emotions to the furniture, art and so on. When you powerwash 9 years off of your deck, you are starting with a brand new fresh energy. You have just removed the past and are beginning with a fresh new present. Why live and continue to live wth 9 years of residue, that won't bring you wealth or fame and fortune? I just power washed 9 years off of my deck and the energy is amazing. Great things have already started to enter into my life as I let go of 9 years of residue. It was hard work yesterday, but work that will pay off in ways that one can't imagine. Next step, after you power wash off years, visualize and bring in what you would like to have in your life!
